About this role
Under the direction of the Warehouse Systems and Administration Supervisor, the Logistics Planner will work closely with distribution center leadership to meet shipping and receiving goals.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and stay organized through a large volume of daily email and phone requests from internal and external customers.
Provide daily work to warehouse floor, balancing workflow, and ensuring inbound and outbound truck turn times are within acceptable levels.
Manage Live Load trailer tracking and reporting.
Distribution center operations reporting.
Monitor aging outbound deliveries.
Provide prompt, professional communication with both internal and external customers regarding business requirements and transportation related issues.
Build relationships with transportation vendors to ensure a high level of service to our customers.
Ensure validity of data for internal and external reports.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
1+ years of Distribution experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of the Carrier organization.
Strong teamwork, collaboration and relationship management skills.
Demonstrated strong experience in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel required.
Strong knowledge of SAP or other ERP system preferred.
Strong sense of time organization and urgency, self-initiative, and sense of ownership.
Detail-oriented and able to maintain focus on multiple priorities.
Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interact with multiple levels and functions within the organization.
Ability to plan and organize daily tasks and adjust throughout the day to priorities/emergencies and to meet deadlines required.
